IIR has confirmed that construction on the Joffre polyethylene unit expansion is nearing completion and that the contractors on site will be demobilizing in about a month. Certain areas have started commissioning and they expect the unit to fully start up by the end of the year.

Ledcor Projects Inc. has completed more than 90% of their work. Detailed work such as electrical, instrumentation, piping and mechanical systems is near completion. Commissioning of utility systems is complete. Power distribution commissioning is underway and mechanical completion is expected at the end of summer. Following mechanical completion, turnover and commissioning will continue until start-up which is scheduled for November 2016.
