Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) faced a major fire incident on 210,000 b/d FCCU Unit (Design Capacity 170,000 b/d) at its 660,000 b/d Domestic Tariff Area Refinery, India on November 24, 2016. There was no impact on production as the FCCU block was already under planned Maintenance shutdown since November 14, 2016. Major units include the 170,000 b/d Fluid Catalytic Cracking Unit, 10,000 b/d Propylene Recovery Unit, 29,500 b/d Light Naphtha Unifiner Unit, 60,000 b/d Gasoline Merox Unit, 69,000 b/d LPG Merox Unit, 200,000 T/Yr Polypropylene Unit 1 and 200,000 T/Yr Polypropylene Unit 2. No final confirmation if there will be any delay in restart due to the fire, as of now tentative restart date of the refinery turnaround is December 18, 2016.
