IIR Energy : Petrochemical Outage Alerts
Noretyl's 1,492MM Lbs/yr Ethylene Unit located at the Stathelle, Rafnes plant continues to be offline due to a fire that broke out on Sunday, October 9, 2016. Maintenance works previously planned to be performed during a planned event in April, 2017 has been moved forward and completed during unplanned turnaround. Start up process has begun and expectations are to be fully operational on November 24, 2016.
Rabigh Refining & Petrochemical Company continues with 21-Day planned turnaround at its 2,866 M Lbs/yr Ethylene unit located at Rabigh complex, Saudi Arabia from November 14, 2016 for minor maintenance. Expectations are to complete repairs and restart unit by December 4, 2016.
Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has rescheduled a 30-day planned turnaround at its 1,102 M Lbs/yr Ethylene Unit, located at the Dahej complex, India. The shutdown was initially planned for November 20, 2016, will now be performed from November 30, 2016.
Dow Chemical is winding down planned maintenance while continuing electrical and instrumentation work at its 1.6 Billion Lbs/yr LHC 3 Ethylene unit located at the Plaquemine, Louisiana plant. The unit was brought offline September 9, 2016 for maintenance and tie-ins for an expansion and to increase feedstock flexibility. IIR continues to keep a close watch on the restart date.
Chevron Phillips Chemical continues maintenance works at its 1,840MM Lbs/yr 1592 Ethylene unit at the Baytown (Cedar Bayou), Texas plant. The unit was brought offline on September 19, 2016 for planned maintenance and during restart Chevron Phillips had to bring the unit back offline due to additional compressor and piping work. Current expectations are to attempt restart of the unit in approximately one week.
