Industrial Info is pleased to be presenting a complimentary webinar on the biggest trends in the Pharma-Biotech Industry on Thursday, March 21, at 9 a.m. CDT (10 a.m. EDT). Industrial Info is tracking more than $156 billion in active Pharma-Biotech projects across the world, including more than $116 billion in North America and Europe.

Join Annette Kreuger, Industrial Info's vice president of Pharma-Biotech Industry research, and Shaheen Chohan, vice president of global analytics, as they discuss issues with the biggest impact on the industry today, along with the challenges it faces in 2019 and how these could influence project spending.

Among the largest Pharma-Biotech projects underway in the U.S. is Novo Nordisk A/S' (NYSE:NVO) (Bagsværd, Denmark) grassroot insulin active pharmaceutical ingredient plant in Clayton, North Carolina, near the company's existing facility. Construction on the 833,000-square-foot facility began in late 2016, with Fluor Corporation (NYSE:FLR) (Irving, Texas) providing engineering, procurement and construction. The project is expected to be completed in the summer of 2020. For more information, see Industrial Info's project report.

Kreuger said, "There is so much happening within and to the Pharma-Bio Industry, it is sometimes difficult to discern just how the new initiatives and trends translate to project activity and opportunities. Hopefully, this webinar will add some clarity. I plan to give an overview of Pharma 4.0 and what that encompasses throughout the industry. The rise of cellular therapies and facility investment across the globe will be discussed."

Some of the topics that could be discussed in the upcoming webinar include:

  • Cost containment/pricing pressures
  • Processing trends (automation, single-use systems, continuous processing) shaping the industry
  • Blockchain technology
  • Regulatory challenges
  • The switch from blockbusters to targeted medicine
Join us Thursday for this informative webinar! Make sure to RSVP today!
