Industrial Info is pleased to be presenting a complimentary webinar on the global Metals & Minerals spending outlook for 2020-21 on March 4 at 10 a.m. CST (11 a.m. EST). Join Joe Govreau, Industrial Info's vice president of research for the Metals & Minerals Industry, and Shaheen Chohan, vice president of Global Analytics, as they discuss the big issues and trends impacting project spending in the industry in near future.

Industrial Info is tracking more than $1.8 trillion in active Metals & Minerals projects, including more than $990 billion worth that are planned to kick off in 2020 and 2021. The mining sector, with more than $950 billion in active projects, easily leads other sectors in project value, followed by steel manufacturing.

Among the largest developments underway in the U.S. is Steel Dynamics Incorporated's (NASDAQ:STLD) (Fort Wayne, Indiana) construction of a grassroot flat-rolled steel mill in Sinton, Texas, near Corpus Christi. The 3 million-ton-per-year mill will produce a variety of products and will include a 550,000-ton-per-year galvanizing line. Construction began late last year and is expected to wrap up in mid-2021. For more information, see Industrial Info's project report and January 24, 2020, article - Steel Dynamics Earmarks $1.4 Billion this Year for Texas Project, Other Capex.
